March 17, 1924 - July 21, 2022
In 1939, Charity met and married a handsome young farmer named Preston Shields, to this union came their first-born child Reatha Mae Shields, but her life was short lived. Leaning on the lessons taught by her grandmother, Charity turned to her savoir, as she experienced his anointing and comfort in her time of need.
Charity and Preston was later blessed with three children, giving birth to Lizzie, Ella and Preston Jr. In 1946 Preston and Charity put their faith in a higher power and decided to move to Baltimore MD in search of something more, as they look to grow their family.
Once settled in, charity later gave birth to 6 more children Joe, Virgina, Raymond, Florence, Dianne, and Brenda. Nine children each with unique and powerful personalities, but all sharing one of charity's greats traits; and that's the love for their family.
